Commentary on Psalms - Volume 5

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains, Whence come shall my help.

My help cometh from Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to stumble; Slumber not shall thy guardian.

Behold! slumber not nor sleep Shall the guardian of Israel.

Jehovah is thy guardian; Jehovah is thy defense on thy right hand.

By day the sun shall not smite thee, Nor the moon by night.

Jehovah shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul.

Jehovah shall keep thy going out and thy coming in, From this time, and for ever.
