Psalm 28
Unto thee, O Jehovah! will I cry; O my strength! hold not thy peace from me Lest if thou shouldst be silent to me, I then become like those who descend into the grave.
Hear the voice of my prayers when I cry to thee, When I lift up my hands to the sanctuary of thy holiness.
Draw me not away with ungodly men, And with the workers of iniquity, Who speak peace with their neighbors, When in their hearts is malice.
Give them according to their works, And according to the wickedness of their doings: According to the work of their hands give them, Render their reward to them.
Because they do not consider the doing of Jehovah, Nor the work of his hands, Let him destroy them and not build them up.
Blessed be Jehovah! For he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
Jehovah is my strength and my shield; In him trusted hath my heart, and I have been helped: Therefore exult shall my heart, And with my song will I celebrate him.
Jehovah is strength to them, And the strength of the salvations of his Anointed is He.
Save thy people, and bless thy inheritance; Feed them and exalt them for ever.
